Khairudin Zainudin

Khairudin Zainudin (b. 1987, Kelantan, Malaysia) is a prominent contemporary artist whose practice centres on observation, exploring human experiences and cultural nuances. A graduate of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), he earned a Bachelor’s (2011) and Master’s (2013) in Fine Art. Khairudin has held six solo exhibitions, including Senyap Dalam Gege (2014), Oriental Express: Beyond Identity (2016), and Cerita Orang (2023) at G13 Gallery, and participated in international art events like Art Taipei and Art Stage Singapore. His works often reflect the people and landscapes of his hometown Kelantan, Selangor, and places he has travelled to, such as Taiwan and Singapore. Recognized with awards from competitions like Citra Terengganu, his works have been acquired by both public and private collections, including the Balai Seni Visual Negara as well as collections in Taiwan, Thailand, France, Malaysia, and Singapore.
His commitment to artistic excellence is evident not only through his extensive exhibition history but also through his ongoing exploration of new themes and techniques. Khairudin Zainudin’s artistic journey reflects a passion for observation and storytelling, making him a significant voice in contemporary Malaysian art.
