Art Stage Singapore 2015

G13 Gallery presents Time Frames by Khairudin Zainudin. In this latest body of figurative works, Khairudin continues his artistic impulse to document states of restlessness, animating time in his overlapping frames of movement and lines of motion. Having recently relocated from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur to his largely conservative home state of Kelantan, his documentation is a sort of contemporary mapping of time in spent waiting and times in waiting across urban and rural Malaysian realities. Khairudin’s signature strokes and washes depict a tension between movement and stasis in the figures, simultaneously elucidating a quiet dignity and a languishing in anxiety. Can we glean a difference in time perception between urban and rural or are these frontiers melting in the deluge of modernity’?

Art Stage Singapore 2015 will be held from 22nd 25th January 2015, at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
