A practicing artist who based in Kuala Lumpur, Khairudin Zainudin attempted to redefine his identity by revisiting his hometown in Kelantan. Paradox In Tranquil symbolizes the unexpected experiences he faced when he returned. The journey surprisingly turned out giving him new perceptions and viewpoints, as he realized that his hometown has changed throughout the years. Lives pattern becomes more complex, and there are changes in its socio-cultural environment and also in its political circumstances. Apart from questioning the changes, the works in this series are The works in this series in some ways are not only to question the changes but a celebration to these signs of progress that have occurred.
