G13 Gallery is proud to bring you Configuration, a group exhibition make up by 19 Malaysian artists including mid-career and young emerging such as Stephen Menon, Samsudin Lappo, Lee Sin Bee, Liew Kwai Fei, Shafiq Nordin, Cheong Tuck Wai, Ng Swee Keat, Cheev, Loh Bok Lai, BakirBaharom, Mat Ali Mat Som, Yeoh Choo Kuan, Annisa Abdullah, Yusri Sulaiman, Nik Hazri, Chong Kim Chiew, Ariwibowo,Khairuddin Zainudinand Yuki Tham with the fascinating theme of figures in this May.

Being the third series of thecurated project after Figura and Figuratives Trajectories in 2011 and 2013 respectively, G13 Gallery announced that Configuration would be something even bigger and with more surprises to look forward to as figures paintings that never ebb in the art scene have become a challenge to the artists to fore from the past and existing.

Each of the invited artists will be showcasing 2 brand new artworks that is custom made for this curated show, which enable the viewers to find variety forms in expressing figures and portraits. From realistic to abstract to technical to conceptual, our artists try their best in presenting their skill at the same time to convey their thoughts and thinking. Besides, the wide medium of application in the exhibition is also something to look at, where the artists unleash with not only oil and acrylic on canvas, you may also see drawings, graphite and charcoal work, collage and sculptures too.
