Amy Nazira

AMY NAZIRA

Amy Nazira, born in 1989 in Selangor, Malaysia, is an award-winning contemporary artist known for her unique blend of cartoon-inspired aesthetics with deeper social themes. She completed her Bachelor’s (Hons) in Fine Art from UiTM Shah Alam in 2015, after earning her Diploma in Fine Art from UiTM Lendu, Melaka, in 2013. Her artwork often incorporates playful cartoon characters, which she uses to address serious issues and evoke both humour and introspection. Amy’s art invites viewers to connect emotionally and reflect on societal and personal narratives.

Throughout her career, she has participated in various international art fairs, such as Art Expo Malaysia and the Hotel Art Fair Bangkok, showcasing her growing reputation in the art world. Her work has earned numerous accolades, including the Bronze Award at the 2016 UOB Painting of the Year. Amy’s continued exploration of human connections and self-expression positions her as a prominent figure in contemporary Malaysian art.
