Prem Buachum
Prem Buachum (b. 1998, Thailand), known as Prem.artistic, is a contemporary artist working with textile-based abstraction. With a background in product and textile design, Prem explores the relationship between material, emotion and inner experience through touch, movement and rhythm.
The practice emphasizes sustainability, using discarded textile remnants such as fabric scraps, labels, selvage edges and thread waste. These materials are carefully sorted and transformed by hand through embroidery, knitting and weaving, resulting in works that are inherently unique and shaped by time and process.
Rooted in abstraction, Prem.artistic draws from nature. Elements such as wind, fluid movement, light and color become metaphors for emotion, inviting viewers into a quiet and open dialogue with the work.
