Through the tactile medium of ceramics, she gives material form to these memories, inviting reflection on how personal narratives shape and enrich Malaysia’s collective cultural landscape. The labour-intensive and deliberate process of sculpting mirrors the care and intention found in food preparation. Both are acts of preservation that safeguard Chinese culinary heritage. Once rooted in familial tradition, these foods have now become a shared part of the Malaysian palate, underscoring how personal identity and collective culture are constantly evolving, blending and being redefined.
