The people and floral elements found on the boats have added depth to his research. Floral motifs are commonly painted on most boats, and Khairudin has drawn from these to incorporate into his artwork. His piece titled Mat Bunga subtly captures the core ideas and purpose of the entire project. Though its approach is gentle, it effectively conveys the essence and message behind the whole body of work.
