I wish I could create artwork like I used to do but due to the situation of the pandemic caused by COVID 19, many shops and retailers were closed. Out of this odd situation, I had to explore other materials that can be found in my surrounding. I went as far as using objects that are close enough in relation to my previous artworks

I started to reconstruct using materials that I found around my house to form a new body of work. With limited tools and materials, I took this task as a challenge to motivate myself and created something unusual or out of my comfort zone.

I used the old banners as the material to create these artworks. The rhythm of the weaving process; the sensation I got from the moving threads while handling them; and the result of the work led towards disclosing the connection between myself and the soul. This interrelated process between banners and embroidery create some new meaning that could as well become a potential for the sculptural surface.

This is the kind of work that I would like to see the results that reveal naturally from certain materials.
