Artist Statement

‘Invasion’ was naively shown given the rise of the number of people who were infected by the uninvited party or generally known as PATI.  my negative perception towards the issue of intrusion from other countries as our country can finally grasp a cooldown from this pandemic. For me, the issue came out of the blue and it was just like the invasion which portrayed in many science fiction films as an alien invasion but the only difference is not through space but through the sea. Laugh out loud. This painting really showed my negative response but that was the reality that should become the issue to solve in order for us to live peacefully in this harmonious country.

Artist Statement

‘The Invisible War Hero’ was likely made to honor the frontliners especially MKN, doctors, and people who involve face to face with the virus itself without concerning their comfort life for Malaysians to be cured from this pandemic. Malaysian need to appreciate the effort that MKN made by following all the SOP that was stated for ensuring the life of people living in Malaysia until this virus gone for good. Maybe, that was my will in hoping for unity because humans need each other, and living alone without someone to care will just bring disaster to their own self. That was how this world act even though finally we die without someone else to follow but we need people to manage our death as proper as we needed.

Artist Statement

‘Stay at home’ was the first act of the Malaysian government to shout to follow in order to ensure the safety of Malaysian citizens from the virus to be spread and prevent the silent killer to conquer this country. I highlighted an old man as the main subject for my first artwork was because they are the common victim of this virus and its due to their lack of antibodies as humans grow older.
